This graph shows a general picture of construction activity for Jacksonville, Florida. The source of the statistics is the City of Jax Building Inspection Division. It shows a peak in 2005, followed by a correction and drop the next year, then a major drop in 2007, finally ending today at about half the total number of building permits issued a decade before. Also significant is that non-residential permits remained steady, ranging from 214 to 380 per year, then in 2009 dropped drastically to a mere 119.

Statistics for 2010 are not yet available.
